Hatton Pulls A Soulja Boy: Boxing legend Ricky Hatton is “distraught” after he was caught on camera snorting cocaine in a shocking 10-hour sting spearheaded by British tabloid News of the World.
“If he carries on he’ll kill himself. I’m really, really worried for him,” says a frightened friend, who witnessed the former world champ take seven lines of coke in a Manchester hotel last month.
Hatton publicist Max Clifford says people close to the boxer have been urging him to get help and they’re hoping the published photographs that accompanied NOTW’s scathing piece “will bring him to his senses.”
Although not officially retired, Hatton has not fought professionally since losing to Manny Pacquiao in May 2009 — only the second defeat of his illustrious career.
